Call SecureMeRey
There is a moment many of us have experienced.
You sit down at your computer to do something simple.
Maybe you want to check your email.
Maybe you want to look at some family photos.
Maybe you want to pay a bill, print a document, make a doctor’s appointment, or video call your children or grandchildren.
And then suddenly…
Something isn’t working.
The computer is slow.
A message appears that you’ve never seen before.
The printer won’t print.
The Wi-Fi disappears.
Your password doesn’t work.
Or your phone is asking you to do something that you don’t understand.
And you think:
“What did I do wrong?”
The answer is probably: nothing.
Technology changes constantly. Computers, iPhones, iPads, Android phones, printers, Wi-Fi routers, televisions, and other devices receive updates and introduce new settings all the time.
You don’t have to be a computer expert to use technology.
And you certainly shouldn’t feel embarrassed because you don’t understand something.
You Shouldn’t Have to Figure Everything Out Alone
Years ago, if something in your house stopped working, you might call a neighbor, a friend, or a family member.
Technology is different.
There may be hundreds of settings, confusing messages, passwords, updates, applications, accounts, and security warnings.
Sometimes you just need another human being to say:
“Don’t worry. Let’s look at it together.”
That’s the kind of help we believe people deserve.
At SecureMeRey, we provide technology assistance for computers, phones, Apple devices, printers, Wi-Fi, and many other connected devices.
We don’t expect you to know the technical words.
Just tell us what happened in your own words.
You can say:
“My computer is acting strange.”
That’s enough to start.
Or:
“My printer isn’t printing.”
That’s enough too.
Or:
“I don’t know what this message means.”
We’ll start there.
What If You See a Scary Warning?
This is especially important.
If your computer suddenly displays a large warning saying your computer has a virus and tells you to call a phone number, don’t panic and don’t immediately call the number shown on the screen.
Fake tech-support warnings are a known scam. The FTC warns that scammers may use frightening pop-ups or unexpected calls to convince people to give remote access to their computers or provide financial information.
Instead, stop for a moment.
Don’t give a stranger remote access.
Don’t provide your banking information.
Don’t give someone your password simply because they say they are from Microsoft, Apple, or another technology company.
If you’re unsure, get help from someone you trust.
Common Problems We Hear About
Here are some of the everyday problems people ask us about:
“My computer is very slow.”
“My printer says it’s offline.”
“I can’t connect to Wi-Fi.”
“My email isn’t working.”
“I forgot my password.”
“My iPhone says storage is full.”
“My iPad won’t update.”
“My computer keeps showing pop-ups.”
“My photos disappeared.”
“My speakers aren’t working.”
“I can’t figure out how to use this new update.”
These aren’t unusual problems.
And asking for help doesn’t mean you’re bad with technology.
It means you’re smart enough to know when you don’t want to spend three hours fighting with a machine.
Sometimes You Just Want a Real Person
That’s why we encourage people to call us.
You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong before you call.
You don’t need to use technical language.
You can simply explain what you’re seeing.
